Job Purpose
To: -
- provide strong business and financial advice to clients
- business, accountancy and tax services to our clients
- contribute to ongoing business and practice improvements as part of a team
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The main areas of responsibility are: -
- primary client contact and client management
- providing telephone and email business, accountancy & tax advice throughout the year
- preparing, submitting and advising on accounts, vat and tax returns
- preparing, submitting and advising on other financial statements and taxes
- advising on the use of accounting systems and accounting entries
- analysing and reporting on financial information
- preparing and reviewing business plans
- financial forecasting and risk analysis
- compiling and presenting reports and letters to banks, HMRC and other govt. agencies
- meeting and advising clients

A high level of support and Team spirit exists within the Company for areas in which experience is limited.
Required Skills
To be considered you must have the following qualifications or experience: -
- qualified ACCA, ACMA, CA or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience in an accounting practice or experience at a senior level within a large organisation
- working knowledge of accounts production
- some knowledge of year end self-assessment and related tax issues
- excellent attention to detail
- excellent communication skills
- well organised with good time management skills
- the ability to prioritise workloads
- the ability to work effectively in a team

Job Purpose

- accurately operate and develop our payroll, auto enrolment and CIS service
- provide strong payroll, auto enrolment and CIS advice to clients
- be at the forefront of related legislative and practice changes and developments
- become the Scottish ‘go to’ for payroll and related services on behalf of the Company
- contribute to ongoing business and practice improvements as part of a team
Main Duties and Responsibilities

- primary client contact and client management for payroll and related services
- providing telephone and email payroll and related client advice throughout the year
- preparing, submitting and advising on payroll submissions and payroll related documentation
- liaising with HMRC, the pension provider and The Pension Regulator
- advising on the use of payroll systems, payroll issues and payroll entries
- analysing and reporting on financial information
- compiling and submitting reports and letters to banks, HMRC and other govt. agencies
- meeting and advising clients
- promoting FBD and growing and the client base

- CIPP, IAB, AAT, ACCA, ACMA, CA or equivalent Payroll qualification
- 5 years’ experience in a payroll bureau or practice or experience at a senior level within a large organisation
- working knowledge of small employers and payroll
- knowledge of expenses and deductions, allowances and reliefs
- knowledge of year end processes
- excellent attention to detail
- excellent communication skills
- well organised with good time management skills
- the ability to prioritise workloads
- the ability to work effectively in a team
