Angela Stott FCCAAccountant

Angela joined FBD in March 2019.  She qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2012.

Having spent 9 years specialising in small business accounts and personal tax, she took a break from practice and entered into the world of industry for a couple of years.  Missing the variety of practice was the driver for her return to practice and joining the FBD family.

Although personal tax was her specialism, she has significant experience in the preparation of year end accounts for various types and sizes of business as well as the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.  She has strong skills in other areas of taxation such as capital gains tax, land & buildings transactions tax, stamp duty etc.

Angela has great attention to detail and takes great pride in her work.

Angela enjoys spending time with her daughter, which usually involves Lego building and movie nights.

Belinda Beretta SAICA, CTA Accountant

Belinda, a Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA), brings over 20 years of experience to the FBD Team. She has a strong background in diverse industries, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and financial institutions, making her a valuable resource for businesses of all types. Since joining the team full-time in December 2018, she has been committed to delivering tailored accounting and tax solutions for clients.

As an investor and entrepreneur herself, Belinda understands the unique challenges entrepreneurs and business owners face and is passionate about empowering clients with the knowledge required to navigate the complexities of accounting and tax. Her mission is to make the financial side of business more understandable and actionable for clients, allowing them to focus on their growth and success.

Before joining FBD, Belinda worked in Financial Services. However, she decided to follow her passion for making a meaningful impact for small businesses while dedicating more time to her husband and expanding her own property portfolio.

Outside of work, Belinda enjoys reading, swimming, exploring new places through travel, and taking long walks with her dog.

Anne N Wright CPFA Director of Finance & Training

With a strong eye for detail and a focus like no other, Anne is a tremendous asset to the management team.

Anne has earned her place on the Board through her work as Director of Finance in a Further Education College, Head of Systems Development in a Local Authority & Assistant Chief Internal Auditor for Greater Glasgow Health Board.

Anne is an avid reader and keen cook.

Brian K Wright CA, ACMA Managing Director

Brian founded FBD in 2003.

His vision has always been to make a real difference to people in business.

He is Managing Director & Director of Business Development.

Brian has previously worked hard for others in the roles of Small Business Advisor, Director of Finance & Corporate Services, Company Secretary and Chief Executive.

Over the years, Brian has helped a number of people turn their businesses and their lives around, for the better, through advising and mentoring them in the areas of finance, tax, leverage, human relations and ‘right thinking’.

Brian enjoys racquet sports and reading, especially autobiographies, books on success, people, philosophy and winning in business.

Chloé McGregor Apprentice Administrator / Payroller

Chloé joined the FBD administration team in August 2023 and embarked on an administration and IT apprenticeship, which she has now completed successfully.  She has now commenced a professional payroll apprenticeship.

Before working with FBD, Chloé attended university for a sports coaching degree.  Not long into her degree and during “Lock Down” she discovered that she preferred the ‘learning whilst working’ route and that an apprenticeship was the way forward for her.  Chloe has also worked in retail, in customer facing roles, and has developed some skills in this area.

Chloé enjoys cheerleading, going to football with her dad, spending time with friends and family and going on holidays.

Erin Boyd Apprentice Accountant

Erin joined FBD in October 2023. Erin was at Stirling University for a year, studying Accounts & Finance, but decided that an apprenticeship was a better route to achieve her dream career as a chartered accountant.

Erin is currently pursuing an AAT qualification at FBD to develop her accounting skills. She aspires to have a successful career within FBD and to help make a difference to small business clients.

In her spare time, Erin loves to travel and spend time with her friends and family.

Ethan Mackintosh Apprentice Accountant

Ethan joined FBD June 2024 as an apprentice accountant.

Ethan completed an HNC in Accounting at Forth Valley College before going on to university.  Ethan felt that an academic route was not the right route for him and decided that an apprenticeship opportunity where he could study and learn while working within a professional office would be a much better route.

Ethan Looks forward to having a successful career within FBD and to making a difference to small business clients.

Ethan enjoys spending time outside of work playing football, and cooking for his family

Mark Henderson Apprentice Accountant

Mark joined FBD in August 2023 an apprentice accountant, having attained a Higher National Certificate in accounting at Forth Valley College.  He has successfully completed the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification Level 3 and is currently working towards Level 4.

Mark enjoys spending time travelling with his dad, in many forms and following his two Football teams, Falkirk and Scotland.

Mark also plays football with Sauchie Juniors in a development league, where he plays against other development sides.

Stevie Foenander Trainee Accountant

Stevie is a fully exam-qualified Chartered Management Accountant through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

He joined FBD in July 2024 with around 5 years of experience in accounting, and internal and external audit engagements.

He is currently pursuing an ACCA qualification at FBD to develop and advance his practical financial skills, knowledge, and values. Stevie aspires to have a successful career within FBD and to make a difference to small business clients.

Stevie loves to spend time with family, to travel, and to improve his Xbox gaming skills.

Shaun Mathew Apprentice Administrator

Shaun joined FBD in July 2023 as an Apprentice Administrator. With a background in Business, Accountancy, and Economics from school, he supports the company in a wide range of administrative tasks, including welcoming clients and visitors, client onboarding and company secretarial work. Shaun plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the office. He enjoys being part of a team that works closely with clients to support their business needs.

Shaun has completed his Apprenticeship and is now looking to further develop his career and his studies through a university apprenticeship.

Outside of work, Shaun enjoys watching shows and movies, gaming, and reading books.
